  • We provide professional in-home pet sitting, dog walking, vacation visits, and overnight care throughout the greater Knoxville area.

    Each visit is customized to your pet’s routine including feeding, fresh water, walks, playtime, litter box care, medication administration, and lots of love and attention.

  • We proudly serve families throughout the greater Knoxville area, including including Farragut, Bearden, Sequoyah Hills, Cedar Bluff, Hardin Valley, Karns, South Knox, Fountain City, North Knox, Powell, Holston Hills, Northshore, downtown, and other surrounding neighborhoods.   • Yes! Waggy Tails is fully licensed with the city of Knoxville and Knox County, and bonded and insured through The Hartford for your peace of mind.

    Our team members are federally background-checked through Acutraq, trained in animal behavior and safety, and committed to providing safe, reliable, and professional pet care in your home.

  • We thoughtfully match each family with a primary 1-2 pet sitter(s) or dog walker(s) based on:

    • Location

    • Pet personality and care needs

    • Schedule availability

    You’ll have a consistent 1-2 caregivers your pets can build a relationship with, backed by a trained support team to ensure seamless coverage when needed.

  • Our office team is available Monday–Friday 8am-2pm to assist with scheduling and questions.

    Pet care visits are available 7 days a week between the hours of 6am-10pm, including holidays.

  • We provide pet care visits 7 days a week, 365 days per year, with service windows available as early as 6:00 AM and as late as 10:00 PM.

    When scheduling visits, we operate within convenient 2-hour arrival windows to allow for route efficiency and consistent care.

    Our earliest visit window is 6:00–8:00 AM, and our latest visit window is 8:00–10:00 PM.

    Pet care visits are available on holidays. Because holiday availability fills quickly, we recommend booking as early as possible to secure your preferred dates.

Booking & Scheduling:

  • New clients begin by completing our online Client Registration Form.

    Once you’ve had your complimentary Meet & Greet and your account is activated, you can request services anytime through your secure online client portal.

  • We understand that plans change!

    Dog Walks: cancellations must be submitted by 5:00 PM the day prior to the scheduled walk.

    Pet Sitting Visits: cancellations must be made at least 48 hours prior to the first scheduled visit.

    Please note that we do not offer refunds or credits for late departures or early returns from your trip. However, if you experience extenuating circumstances, we encourage you to reach out - we’re always happy to review on a case-by-case basis!

    Same-day booking requests are subject to a $5 convenience fee and are dependent upon team availability.

    For complete details regarding cancellations and rescheduling, please refer to your client agreement provided at sign-up.

  • Yes, we recommend requesting pet care at the same time that you book your trip. Requesting early is especially important for care during holidays, weekends, and school breaks.

    While we do our best to accommodate last-minute requests, services are based on sitter availability and cannot be guaranteed without advance booking.

  • We assign each client one to two primary pet sitters or dog walkers so your pets can build a consistent, trusting relationship with familiar caregivers.

    If your primary sitter is unavailable, we’ll gladly arrange a meet-and-greet with another trained member of our team to ensure seamless coverage.

Care & Safety:

  • We’re happy to care for pets with special needs, including seniors and pets requiring medication. During your Meet & Greet, we’ll review detailed care instructions to ensure we’re fully comfortable with your pet’s routine.

    Please note that complex medical cases may require approval and are evaluated on a case-by-case basis. We do NOT currently accept insulin-dependent pets.

  • Your pet’s safety is always our top priority. In the event of an emergency, we will make every effort to contact you immediately. If needed, we will transport your pet to your preferred veterinarian (or the nearest emergency clinic) and follow the instructions provided in your client profile.

    Our team members are trained in Pet First Aid & CPR thorugh PetProHero, and receive on-going training in pet behavior and safety topics.

  • For security and convenience, we require that keys and/or home access remains on-site at your property whenever possible. Most clients provide that access through a secure lockbox or door code.

    This policy protects both our clients and our team by reducing the risk of lost or misplaced keys and eliminating the need to label or transport physical keys between homes.

    All access details are stored securely within your encrypted client profile, and your home’s safety and privacy are always a top priority.

  • Yes! You’ll receive a text including notes about your pet’s activities, behavior, and care, plus photos whenever possible.

    We love keeping you connected and giving you peace of mind while you’re away.

Meet & Greet/Onboading:

  • Our complimentary Meet & Greet is our opportunity to get to know you and your pets in your home environment. During this visit, we will:

    • Review feeding routines and care instructions

    • Discuss medications or special needs

    • Go over home access details

    • Answer any questions you may have

    This visit ensures everyone feels comfortable and sets the foundation for reliable, personalized care.

  • Yes, we do require clients to be home for the initial Meet & Greet so we can properly review routines, answer questions, and ensure we’re the right fit for your family.

    After that, you do not need to be home for scheduled visits as long as access arrangements have been confirmed.

  • Yes, your complimentary Meet & Greet serves as a no-obligation consultation.

    If you’d like additional peace of mind before a longer trip, we’re happy to schedule a paid trial visit so your pet can become familiar with their sitter and routine ahead of time.

Payments & Accounts

  • All payments are processed securely through your online client portal. We accept major credit and debit cards, and your payment information is safely stored within our encrypted system for convenient future bookings.

    Invoices are generated automatically based on your scheduled services. Payments are automatically processed each weekend for dog walks occurring the following week, as well as for any pet sitting assignments beginning that week. You’ll receive an emailed receipt.

  • Yes! Your secure client portal allows you to:

    • Submit and manage scheduling requests

    • Update pet and home information

    • View visit notes and photos

    • Make payments and access invoices

    It’s your one-stop hub for easy, organized pet care management.

  • Yes! We offer a discounted dog walking rate when 4–5 walks are scheduled on a recurring weekly basis.
